This is the discussion post for Episode 7x23 & 7x24 - "Hit" and "Run". Watch out for SPOILERS in the comments.

The first volume of Shadow Unit is now available as a proper paper book with a gorgeous Kyle Cassidy cover.

It will be available through Amazon within a week, and will slowly filter its way through the rest of the online distribution system.

This volume contains the first half of Season 1. Volume 2 should be available in about a month, with other volumes to follow.

And of course, Shadow Unit in its entirety is available for free online, and as a modestly priced ebook through the usual sources.

The story began in 2007, and will end in 2013. It's not too late to discover one of the coolest collaborative serials in the genre internets!

There are, however, things that make life easier to endure while one's immune system is fighting the battle of Helm's Deep against the snot-orcs and the congestion cave trolls and the giant sore-throat spiders. (No, Bear, these are not good spiders. They are icky metaphorical spiders, and I am allowed to kill them if I want to.)

For two days I've flung zinc tablets and decongestants at the problem. They've helped, but they haven't really made me feel better. At last, today, I have something that makes me feel as if I wouldn't rather die than have this cold.

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon honey
8 - 10 ounces of hot, but not boiling, water
1 shot whisky (Jameson's would probably be perfect. I have Highland Park single malt 12yo, which is probably pearls before cold-swine, but I don't care)

Combine the above in a mug. Drink. Repeat as necessary.

First, yesterday's event went well. Second, I've updated the faqs. Let me know if I could word something better. Third, does a known minion know the Touhou Project well? I had a fanfic sent in by an anonymous minion. I thought looking at the wiki for said entry would be enough, but I still can't make heads or tails of it.

HAIR: originally bushy, “My hair is now tamed and it passes my shoulder a little bit. It's curly and I brighten the color. So instead of a dull brown, it's now a bright, little bit darker brown. Underneath my hair is a shiny black, and some of it is also on the top of my head (Just imaging her hair roots is black, and since her hair grew it's on the top. But it isn't much. If you don't get what I'm talking about, then click on the link at the end of this chapter).”
EYES: originally brown, “I finally had gotten my eyebrows done. They're thinner but not too thin. And I have some eye make-up on. It's a nice smoky brown with some top and bottom eye liner. Since my eyes are round I didn't put a design at the end of the eye. Plus it would look too much because eye liner is on top and bottom. I also have a light pink of blush on top of my cheek bones so it can highlight my eyes. And some nude lip gloss that taste like oranges.”
MARKINGS: none at first, she is rather plane, an ugly ass Christimas sweater that her mother got her and is now complaining about being ugly
POSSESSIONS: apple computer, a face book account, Ginny has her own owl despite the fact the Weasly family can't afford stuff like this. “I'm wearing a black tee-shirt with a long baggy vest, color grey, that has black buttons and starts buttoning at the mid of my stomach and ends at the top of my thighs. My pants are tight and the color grey. It have some holes, thread hanging out, and holes that still have some thread in it. I have a long heart shaped necklace that hangs to my mid stomach. And I'm wearing a black watch that has diamonds on it, on my right wrist, and a bracelet with hot pink studs on my left wrist. I have some leather black boots that goes up from my ankle 3 inches. And has a sliver buckle with a circle on it.” And... “I looked at my nails, they're French tips. The part where it's supposed to be clear has a little color of pink. And there's a cute design on my thumbs with some gems.” Let's just say there is more and Hot Topic is involved.
CONNECTION TO CANON: Hermione has a flash back of Ginny telling her to break up with Ron. Her mom complains about her lack of wardrobe. Hermione realizes she hasn't done the maintenance she used to normally do every three to six months. Her mother and she go on a trip that the Suethor lets the readers know that she skips and to where she is getting her trunk ready. They buy so much her mother's bags get stuck in the doors at the mall and her mother tells her how hawt she is. Third chapter is a link to her hair style. The forth chapter is more self-centeredness.
ORIGIN: Ron is a bad boyfriend and his sister Ginny agrees .She gets a letter from Ginny again berating Ron. She walks past a random blond and they have a stereotypical girly conversation.
SPECIAL ABILITIES: Hermione drinks a lot of orange juice because the Suethor loves it. Hermione actually cares about her looks.

NOTES: Three guesses who Hermione is going to be paired with. Also, on top of the fact we have a fourteen to fifteen year old planing on writing smut for their fic we have a Suethor who needs a lecture about internet safety. Particularly in light of the reason I've updated the faqs. And no... I didn't intentionally go and find a Suethor whose posted personal stuff to her profile. It just happened.

( *giggle*! )

I went to a movie with a friend today. It was pretty great. There were aliens and gods and a guy in a suit and a big green rage monster and the ass-kickingest woman ever and Sam Jackson with an eyepatch.

Everything except a harpy. So it wasn't perfect.
